Crapped this out before I could get bored. Really sucks, since this is pretty much what happened to me; I used the external app for like a couple hours then said "Fuck it" and stopped.

I didn't lose anything, but whatever. The main issue here is being called a cheater when (according to everyone) the hats don't have any actual effects, and there's no way of earning them beyond pouring hours into the game (and if you do, the chances don't change anyway).

(oh, if you're planning on making some sort of cute remark about "that's what you get" or something along that lines, don't bother.)

Edit: changed the Heavy's name from "sandvichheaby" to "MeatShield". I like the sound of that better.

If you don't get hats so easily simply craft 3 refined metal. after 300 hours of playtime you surely should have enough weps for that. Or go on a trade server.

i just got the Gahstly Gibus or whatever it's called, after a friggin 78.6 hours. First hat, and strangely i still have no desire for hats.mebbe i will when i get all the weapons (still havent got: Direct Hit, all the Demoman ones, and a few others).
