If I torrent stuff, it doesn't mean, that I don't buy anything else anymore. I mostly torrent the discographies, but I buy some games. I recently bought Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.
I'm a United Kingdomian, so I'd be relatively okay with torrenting if the material's not on TV/on sale near me. (Also, Ponymagics, which is a season behind here.)
Luckily Crunchyroll and such are improving availability for things so I don't feel the need to do it as often.
There's this nifty thing called direct downloading where you just type in what you want into google along with nifty keywords like mediafire or multiupload. And no nasty emails from ISP
DVDs are a bit more permanent, in my mind. That, and the one time I got a virus from a torrent that eventually forced me to restore it to the original setting swore me off of torrents.

The only things I torrent regularly are old wrestling shows and the weekly episode of CSI.
