In this case, I prefer the lined version. It seems like the unlined loses a lot of detail. They eyes, in particular, look a lot stranger.

Still, the unlined looks a lot like the art from Cave Story. I think it would be neat to see more of it, especially if you're drawing a lot of the same subject.

cuz it's different and you raise a good point about the shapes and stuff.

I do think you can make it better by darkening a few blocks if you're trying to stick strictly in the lineless, like for his left leg (our left)instead of using the same blue or grey on the shoe make it darker. :0 Otherwise, a bit of colored lines wouldn't do this injustice.

The streamline is cute, and might make a better smaller icon. But frankly? I love the HURPDURP effect the lined version gives the eyes.

The person in the picture looks better in the lined version, especially the eyes. The explosion looks better in the lineless version, however.

The lined version just gives sharped detail and definition.

I feel that it brings things out more so you can identify them better.
But I also see the pros in the unlined version.

Yeah, I liked Samurai Jack as well. BTW, did Jack ever return to the past and kill Aku?

lineless is nicer, but with lined it's easier to understand what the hell is going on
